My ideal summer involves lots of swimming as well as relaxing with a good book and a few glossy magazines. FYI: Last year’s beach book was Mindy Kaling’s Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (seriously, check her out, she’s hilarious).
Camping Šobec has always been one of my favourite places in Slovenia to visit.
Situated in a wood near Lake Bled (another stunning place to see if you get the chance and it’s only a 10 minute car journey away), Šobec is a wonderful destination for friends and family. There are plenty of options available for your trip, whether you want to go camping, stay in one of the traditional wooden bungalows or just enjoy a day visit. The view of the Julian Alps and Karavanke mountains is magnificent.
If lounging around isn’t your idea of a good time, there are plenty of activities on offer. Take your pick from tennis if you fancy being the next Djokovic, mini golf, table tennis and volleyball. You can also hire mountain bikes if you feel like having a little adventure.
Location: Camping Šobec, Sobceva 25, 4248 Lesce, Slovenia
Prices start at 4 euros for a single day visit (including all day parking) and vary depending on the package. Camping and wooden bungalows available.
