The darlings at KBeauty Collective collaborated with Purito skincare for the exclusive ‘Timeless Bloom’ event in Seoul. A reunion with the KBeauty Collective girls has been long overdue.
In the heart of Gangnam, Seoul, skincare bloggers were treated to a delightful afternoon of giveaways, activities and exclusive product sneak peeks.
Purito’s Bakuchiol Timeless Bloom Revitalizing Serum
After warm introductions from Purito and Unity and Dottie from KBeauty Collective, we watched a short presentation about Purito’s values and their skincare products. Purito are proud to use vegan ingredients and recyclable packing. Let’s face it, there are only so many empty skin care bottles we can reuse as a vase, right?
We were also introduced to Purito’s latest product, the Bakuchiol Timeless Bloom Revitalizing Serum. Bakuchiol is a plant-derived ingredient that is key for anti-ageing. Think of it as an alternative to retinol. This super ingredient has been on my radar for while, because I’m too scared to use retinol (hello, rosacea!) and it was real treat learning more about its benefits.
How to mix your own facial mist with Purito skincare
Two exciting activities were on the menu for the day: flower arranging (team A) and creating your own facial mist (team B). As a member of team B, I was thrilled to make my very own mist to take home. Winter is fast approaching and I desperately want to keep my skin fresh and hydrated. Plus, who wouldn’t want to play scientist for the day?
Gloves on. Tables and hands sanitised. It was time to go! We could choose from various lotions and potions (including rose water, oat beta glucan, lavender and ceramide). Purito staff provided scales to help us make the perfect mist and offered guidance. Staff recommended using three of four ingredients at 10ml or 5mls each.
I felt like a mad scientist adding a dash of rose water here and a dash of niacinamide there. It was so much fun and incredibly therapeutic! I topped up my concoction with oat beta glucan. I decided not to add any essential oils because my skin can be extremely sensitive to those.
Once we were satisfied with our creations, we tested the pH level with ph strips provided by Purito’s very own scientist. Team A created their own beautiful flower bouquets to take home. I was seriously impressed with everyone’s flowers.
Meeting British skincare influencer James Welsh
While chatting all things skincare with friends at the beginning of the event, I noticed a familiar face arriving. ”Is that James Welsh?” I thought to myself. No… it couldn’t be. WAIT. It WAS James Welsh! Unbeknown to attendees, the iconic skincare influencer was a special guest. Oh. My. God!
I’ll be honest. I had a complete fangirl moment as I chatted to him about skincare, one of his latest videos with his twin, beauty influencer Robert and the good old British weather. FYI, it’s still hot and humid here in Korea. We also chatted about how much laser treatment for rosacea costs (it stings so much!).
The perfect end to the perfect day
To round off the evening, Purito invited James Welsh to cut the custom-made cake (in the shape of the Bakuchiol Timeless Bloom Revitalizing Serum) with Purito. Attendees left with a goodie bag filled with lots of splendid Purito treats, including a full-size bottle of the Bakuchiol Timeless Bloom Revitalizing Serum. I can’t wait to test it!
