For this week’s LOTW, I’ve got tennis fever with a Wimbledon inspired look. After all, what could be more British than Wimbledon, Pimm’s, candy stripes and a straw boater hat?
Unfortunately, as I don’t have tickets for Wimbledon (sob sob) I’ll have to make do with watching it on TV (I’m rooting for Novak Djokovic to win!) with a pitcher of Pimm’s and a punnet of strawberries.
I fell in love with this candy stripe dress from Zara as soon as I saw it (you may notice that falling in love with fashion items appears to be a particular downfall of mine. Oops. Might need to work on that). Anyway, back to the dress…
It’s perfect for warm, sunny weather. It’s very soft and the tie detailing is super flattering. I’ve teamed it with a straw boater hat for a typically British look. Think public school chic.
These tweed style mules from Zara are beautiful. They’re very Chanel and I absolutely love them. I know, I know, I have far too many pairs of shoes but these just scream summer, don’t they? They’re so comfortable that I wore them for a recent trip to London, which involved walking around the V&A and running to a few shops (cough cough, Harrods and Muji…).
For accessories, I’ve gone for an eclectic selection of bracelets from Hipanema, Made and Topshop. With bold colours and intricate designs, they’re just what I need to add a unique touch to my outfit. I was drawn to Made years ago because everything is handcrafted from sustainable materials.
My blue Michael Kors bag brightens up my look and complements the mules perfectly. I’m a huge fan of Ray-Ban wayfarers (I have quite a few pairs) and I love the latest addition to my collection. They’re ideal for protecting my eyes in the harsh summer sun.
I’d love to know what you’ll be wearing for summer!
