Say goodbye to pesky winter beauty problems with my beauty SOS!
The problem: Dry hands
The solution: Calendula Hand Balm, Dr Scheller at Ecco Verde, £1.89
Having hands as rough as sandpaper is never chic. Fortunately, this hand balm makes my hands nourished and silky smooth.
Calendula is great for soothing chapped skin. Often, hand creams and balms can leave my hands feeling greasy because the product is so difficult to work into my skin but this one has the perfect consistency. It’s a fantastic budget beauty buy!
The problem: Stubborn mascara and eyeliner
The solution: Make Up Remover Pads, Ole Henriksen at Look Fantastic, £21
Let’s face it, it’s super cold at night and we want to be cosy under a duvet rather than up for hours removing pesky eye makeup. Thank goodness these make up remover pads. Not only do they remove eye make up in a matter of seconds but they leave skin feeling refreshed. Yay!
The problem: Dry, scaly skin
The solution: Moisturising Body Wash, Balance Me, £9
Nobody wants to have scaly skin. Having hot baths and showers can dry skin even further so using a body wash is essential if you want to have baby soft skin.
This moisturising body wash smells incredible, it gets rid of dry skin after the first use. Made with soothing yarrow, patchouli and shea butter, it’s definitely a keeper.
The problem: Dehydrated skin
The solution: Winter Protect Cream, Balea at dm-drogerie markt, £2.90
This face cream is great at protecting my skin against extreme winter weather and indoor heating. It restores moisture and makes my skin feel less irritated.
It contains Nordic lingonberry and cottonseed oil to hydrate skin and a super protective UVA filter (just because the sun isn’t shining it doesn’t mean you should forget about UVA rays). Lingonberry also helps reduce redness (perfect for me!)
The problem: Tired eyes
The solution: Eye Cream, Tiaki, £5.99
If there’s one thing I hate about early mornings it’s having puffy eyes if I haven’t had enough sleep. It’s just not a good look is it? Using a moisturising eye cream is essential for disguising tired eyes.
This one is made with nourishing almond, organ and rosehip oils, New Zealand honey and marula seed oil (super rich in antioxidants) as well as omega 6 and vitamins A and E to restore and sooth skin. It also contains collagen to boost skin. Perfect.
