My sheet mask addiction is unreal. Seriously, I have boxes and boxes of them but I can’t seem to stop buying more (fellow sheet mask addicts, please feel free to leave me comments about how you share my passion!) but how can I, when it’s such a thrilling experience trying new varieties?
My latest sheet mask haul focuses on skin brightening. Unfortunately, it’s the time of year when our skin can look a little lacklustre (curse you central heating!) and mine needs a little boost until the temperature increases.
Here are three of my favourite brightening sheet masks…
Bombee Whitening Honey Mask, Papa Recipe at T.K. Maxx, £1.99
A dear friend of mine (shout out to Zarah!) is a fan of this brand and I was curious to try this whitening honey sheet mask. I love the soothing, anti-bacterial properties of honey and I couldn’t wait to apply this.
I love how soft my skin felt after using this. It felt much plumper and immediately moisturised. I was very impressed at how quickly this sheet mask removed the redness across my cheeks.
It contains glutathione (an antioxidant which helps brighten skin), niacinamide (which is great for improving dullness and an uneven skin tone) and diamond powder to promote a brighter and clearer complexion. Other ingredients include extracts of honey, organic propolis and royal jelly to moisturise parched skin. It’s also made with Papa Recipe’s Gold Complex to further protect my skin.
I love the cute packaging. It even has metallic detailing! This is definitely going to be a repeat purchase!
Dermask Brightening Solution™ Ultra-Fine Microfiber Sheet Mask, Dr. Jart+ at T.K. Maxx, £4.99
I LOVE. This. I’m not even kidding. I’ll admit, I usually buy cheaper sheet masks but I’m a big fan of Dr. Jart+ and I’ve read lots of positive reviews about this sheet mask.
First of all, can we talk about the amazing packaging? It’s chic and super sleek!
I loved the silky texture of this mask. Made from ultra-fine microfibre, it was incredibly lightweight on my skin. Sheet masks are often tricky staying on my face but not this one. It had serious staying power.
It claims to hydrate and illuminate while tackling any dark spots/hyperpigmentation. While hyperpigmentation isn’t a strong concern of mine, I’m always keen to try anything that promotes an even skin tone.
After using this, my skin looked amazing. Really. It looked so much brighter and clearer. I’d even go as far to say that this is one of the BEST sheet masks I’ve ever used. I’m definitely going to have to buy more of these!
Ingredients include skin brightening glutathione and niacinamide as well as α-bisabolol (which promotes a youthful appearance). This mask also earns a special place in my heart because it’s free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
I love how much extra essence came with this sheet mask. I emptied it into an empty spray bottle and used it the following morning and night.
Enjoy Vital-Up Time Whitening Mask, Mizon at T.K. Maxx, £1.99
I’ve seen Mizon beauty products in numerous Instagram posts and I’ve always wanted to try something from the brand. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance to buy this.
Also made from microfibre, this sheet mask is heavenly. It instantly boosted my skin and made it look brighter. It fit my face perfectly too.
It’s made with my favourite niacinamide, white flower complex (known for its brightening effects on the skin), edelweiss and lily of the valley to boost radiance.
This mask also includes Mizon’s vital essence which contains allantoin, trehalose, hyaluronic acid and sc-glucan to moisturise and revitalise dry skin. Definitely what I need when the weather’s cold! I look forward to buying this again in the future.
