Not content with taking over the K-pop industry, BTS are making their mark in the beauty world with their sheet mask collaboration with Mediheal. I make no secret of my love for BTS or my sheet mask addiction so it goes without saying that I had to buy a box of the Mediheal BTS sheet masks. Obviously.
While it isn’t a new collaboration, I couldn’t wait to try these sheet masks with the aim of emulating the septet’s enviable chok chok glow.
Mediheal BTS Tea Tree Care Solution Essential Sheet Mask
This sheet mask has a strong tea tree scent and features the Mediheal logo. I often complain about poorly fitting sheet masks (many don’t fully accommodate my square jaw) but this was perfect. With a second skin fit, it covered my whole face.
Containing an impressive selection of ingredients to soothe skin, I had high hopes for this sheet mask. Skin benefits of centella asiatica include boosting collagen levels and reducing the appearance of pesky blemishes. Willow bark extract is such a multi-tasking ingredient. Not only does it soothe inflamed skin but it’s also packed with salicylic acid to gently exfoliate skin and clean pores.
Anti-inflammatory ingredients sage and tea tree protect skin from irritation, facial redness and signs of ageing like fine lines. Both of these ingredients are ideal for soothing acne-prone skin. Rosemary has antiseptic properties to further clear pores and is balanced by allantoin so skin doesn’t feel stripped. Additional moisture and redness reduction comes from extracts of soybean seed.
After 20 minutes, I couldn’t believe how smooth and clear my skin looked. My complexion was fresher and any signs of skin irritation vanished. As gross as this sounds, I was plagued by a small blemish on my chin (hence why I needed to use this mask) and when I took the mask off, said evil blemish had completely disappeared. Woah.
I’m totally putting this sheet mask on my favourites list. You may think anything with tea tree in will be too drying but in addition to fighting blemishes this increased the moisture levels in my skin.
Mediheal BTS W.H.P White Hydrating Black Sheet Mask
Like the above mask, this had an excellent fit. Including charcoal powder in the ingredients list (more on this later) gives this a black colour. My skin felt soothed as soon as I applied it.
Two of the main benefits of niacinamide include brighter skin and reduced pore size. Extracts of peppermint offer additional relief from skin irritation and charcoal powder helps reduce impurities of the skin. Including lichen in this sheet mask means skin is protected from inflammation and rosacea. Lichen also targets blemishes so it’s ideal if your skin is prone to acne.
I loved how much brighter my skin looked after using this sheet mask. My complexion was clearer and the redness across my cheeks was much less noticeable. It left me with an impressive glow to rival all of BTS. Uhmazing.
Although my skin was boosted with additional moisture from the rich essence, it didn’t feel greasy. I was able to continue with the rest of my skin care routine without worrying about products pilling on top of the remaining essence I’d applied. Needless to say, this sheet mask is ideal for daytime or evening use.
This set comes with five of each sheet mask and a set of Mediheal BTS photo cards. Overall, it’s excellent value for money!
To really boost my skin when I apply a sheet mask, I layer eye patches underneath. Check out my review of the EyeNLip Salmon Oil Nutrition Eye Patches and find out why I love them so much!
