Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you’re ready to pucker up, why not treat your lips to this Holika Holika Glamour Lip 3-Step Kit?

Just as we protect our skin with various lotions and potions (and a ridiculous amount of sheet masks) we should take care of our lips too. This kit aims to restore lips with a three step treatment.

The first step is all about exfoliation. Concealed in the packet is a generous sized exfoliating pad to gently scrub away any dead skin cells. Chapped lips are never a good look, are they?

The formula is very gentle (it’s made with botanical extracts) and it’s a lovely treat for my lips whenever they’re in need of TLC in the cold weather (seriously, is it not spring yet?). I love it.

Step two is a funny-looking hydrogel mask that hydrates lips with the soothing serum (ingredients include hyaluronic acid, hydrolysed collagen, shea butter and jojoba seed oil). Unfortunately, I never see a dramatic improvement with these masks (and I’ve used the entire kit). Wearing one for 15 minutes is extremely tedious because it always fails to stay on my lips properly. Perhaps it’s best to use them on full lips. Oh well… on to step three.

Extracts of honey and royal jelly make this luxe lip oil an absolute pleasure to use. It tackles any dry parts within a matter of minutes and prevents any dehydration returning. It’s lovely to use.

Overall, I’m not sure I’d buy this again. I love steps one and three but I already use a lip scrub from Lush (link here) and I’m already eyeing up Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask….

Still, it’s fun to try out new beauty products, isn’t it?
