The good folks at Papa Recipe certainly know the importance of using honey as a skin care ingredient. Designed to make skin glow, honey is one of the main ingredients in these sheet masks. Obviously I had to buy more than one…
Manuka Honey Black Honey Sheet Mask, Papa Recipe
This super soft black tencel sheet mask tackles a variety of skin problems, from excess oil to psoriasis. It’s also ideal if you suffer from sensitive skin or rosacea.
Containing a hydrating combination of propolis, royal jelly and Manuka honey from New Zealand, this mask soothes irritated skin. Known for its anti-ageing properties, peat water eliminates dry skin and restores moisture levels. Additional skin soothing comes from green tea, which also prevents clogged pores and reduces redness. Ceramide and allantoin work together to effectively moisturise the skin.
I have so much love for this sheet mask. Not only did it make my skin softer but it added much-needed moisture without leaving a greasy film on my face. Redness disappeared and I had a lovely dewy glow. Yay!
Rose Gold Honey Sheet Mask, Papa Recipe
A rose gold sheet mask screams luxury, right? Containing inner foil packaging, this sheet mask features a rose gold honeycomb pattern and has a gorgeous scent of rose and honey.
A real multi-tasker for sensitive skin, this targets irritation with extracts of rose damascena flower water and rose centifolia flower. The latter can also help reduce inflammation associated with rosacea and couperose (visible broken capillaries on the face). A winning combination of propolis, honey and royal jelly increases collagen production and soothes skin.
Pearl extracts are ideal for acne-prone skin types and help heal blemishes and encourage a clearer complexion. Proving this mask is super luxurious, it also contains gold extracts (so extra!), which is known for its brightening and anti-inflammatory properties.
With a cocktail of skin-boosting ingredients including honey, it’s hardly surprising my skin looked noticeably brighter, particularly across my cheeks and nose. This instantly moisturised my skin. It would be a shame to not add it to the repurchase list…
Honey Butter Cream Sheet Mask, Papa Recipe
This two-part sheet mask is perfect for anyone with dry or dehydrated skin. It has inner foil packaging and is dripping in essence to ensure skin is thoroughly moisturised.
In addition to the anti-inflammatory and moisturising benefits from honey, propolis and royal jelly, this contains an impressive range of butters to nourish and protect skin. Shea butter targets blemishes, dryness and reduces signs of irritation. Rich in antioxidants, mango seed butter and cocoa seed butter reduce the appearance of fine lines and make skin softer.
Although I liked how hydrated my skin felt, my face was a little greasy afterwards so perhaps this is better suited for the evening.
Red Ginseng Sheet Mask, Papa Recipe
As soon as I opened the packet, I was hit by the strong ginseng scent of this mask, which some might find overpowering. Made from delicate paper mulberry, it’s drenched in rich essence.
It contains red ginseng to brighten skin and help tackle signs of ageing. Extracts of honey and camellia oil moisturise skin and propolis targets inflammation to make skin smoother. Packed with Omega-6 fatty acids, evening primrose oil reduces fine lines and wrinkles and encourages a more youthful complexion. Extracts of ginger and green tea soothe rosacea and acne-prone skin.
This had a lovely fit. An ideal sheet mask to use when your skin needs a treat, this left my face feeling refreshed and my complexion looked plumper. Because there was no sticky residue left after tapping the remaining essence into my skin, I continued with the rest of skin care routine straight away. Definitely one to repurchase!
