You know me, I adore sheet masks. Absolutely love them. I spotted this Faith in Face Black & White Film Star Hydrogel Mask in TK Maxx and couldn’t wait to try it.
First of all, how brilliant is the packaging? It’s so eye-catching! Ingredients include a few of my beauty favourites, arbutin, green tea and niacinamide so needless to say, I had high hopes for this mask.
It aims to brighten skin and give a movie star complexion à la Audrey Hepburn. As I said, I had high hopes…
I’ve tried a few hydrogel masks but haven’t been overly impressed with them so I was a bit sceptical before I used this one. However, I was pleasantly surprised!
This two-part mask was easy to apply and didn’t slip off my face like others. It stayed on my face for 30 minutes. You might have noticed that the instructions on this packet recommend leaving this on for three minutes (that’s clearly a typo!).
After removing the mask, I noticed how brighter and fresher my skin looked. However, I was disappointed this didn’t take away the redness on my cheeks.
Overall, this was very fun to try but I’m not sure if I’d buy it again. I’ve used other masks which have a similar brightening effect that also help reduce redness.
