Cracking open a beauty product sounds like it shouldn’t work, unless you’re thinking of beauty Christmas crackers (and it’s waaay too early to be thinking about that) but they do. I’d like to introduce you to your new best (beauty) friend: beauty ampoules (also known as vials).
What could be more exciting than looking after your skin than with a quirky beauty product? Beauty ampoules have been popular in Korea for years (whenever I choose to visit Korea I must ensure I bring an extra empty suitcase for all of my beauty purchases!). Because the product is highly concentrated you don’t need to use as much. Hence the small size of ampoules.
Ampoules are a great beauty treatment to use a few times a week either on their own or underneath your usual night time moisturiser. I’m always keen to try new beauty products and I couldn’t wait to try these beauties that I purchased in Slovenia…
First Fine Lines Hyaluron-Booster, Terra Naturi Naturkosmetik at Müller, 95 cents
This ampoule contains hyaluronic acid, which helps to keep over 1000 times of its weight in water within our skin so it’s perfect for adding an intense moisture boost. If used regularly, hyaluronic acid helps to reduce wrinkles and smooth skin. Sounds good to me!
My first impression of this ampoule was the lovely smell. It absorbed into my skin straight away. The organic ingredients were appealing to me because I like natural ingredients. It’s suitable for normal to dry skin (and although I have combined/oily skin it still worked wonders for me!). I would definitely use this again!
Sensitive SOS Ampoule,Terra Naturi Naturkosmetik at Müller, 95 cents
This is the smallest of the four ampoules (1ml) but it doesn’t make it less powerful. It’s perfect for calming sensitive and red skin. It contains almond which are full of antioxidants and vitamin E and Defensil which helps prevent the appearance of sensitive skin.
The ingredients in this ampoule are derived from natural essential oils and from certified organic agriculture. Great if you’re interested in using organic beauty products. I loved using this as a beauty treatment underneath my night time moisturiser. In the morning my skin was less irritated and felt regenerated. Lovely!
Hyaluron Booster Ampoule, Cadea Vera CV face 25+, Müller, 65 cents
This ampoule is suitable for those aged 25+. It’s at this age that you often start to notice fine lines and wrinkles, which is where this product comes in handy. It’s suitable for all skin types, even for those with sensitive skin.
My skin was instantly refreshed after using this and it was noticeably smoother. This will definitely be a repeat purchase!
Hydro Active Ampoule, Cadea Vera CV face 25+, Müller, 65 cents
Containing skin-boosting hyaluronic acid and aloe vera (great for replenishing moisture and keeping skin firm and supple), this ampoule is definitely going to be a staple in my beauty cabinet.
Like the above ampoule, this one is best for those aged 25 and over. Aloe vera is also rich in beta carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E so this one made my skin super soft in the morning.
Overall, I’m very impressed with these beauty ampoules. As you’ll see, they’re great value for money! Note: once you’ve opened an ampoule it’s best to use it within a few days or the contents may dry up.
