Salmon is great for our bodies so it makes perfect sense to use it on our skin, right? The Salmon Oil Nutrition Cream from EyeNLip contains essential vitamins and minerals to boost dry skin and promote a healthy glow. Regardless of whether you’ve binge-watched an entire series on Netflix, which like many of you, I’m frequently guilty of.
First of all, I love the luxurious packaging and the light perfumed scent. Like the EyeNLip Salmon Oil Nutrition Eye Patches, this moisturiser is presented in a rose gold pot. It also has a handy plastic spatula and sleek outer packaging. Basically, it will look beautiful on your nightstand.
Benefits of peptides and fish oil
This cream has an impressive combination of peptides including copper tripeptide-1 to improve collagen levels and reduce skin inflammation. Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 can improve rough skin and protect it from fine lines and wrinkles.
Salmon is a fantastic ingredient for our bodies and skin. The benefits of fish oil include making skin softer and more moisturised so you have a radiant complexion. Apparently, salmon oil can also be an effective facial capillaries treatment associated with couperose or rosacea. I’m not saying this moisturiser will miraculously make inflamed facial capillaries disappear but it’s comforting to know salmon oil can help.
Ceramide helps seal moisture in your skin, soothes skin sensitivity and makes it less prone to dryness. Other ingredients in this cream include niacinamide to encourage a brighter complexion and eliminate facial redness or blotchiness.
A cream to boost skin elasticity
Although I love using this, it’s important to be careful when applying it because it’s a little heavier than other creams I’ve tried. Providing I don’t use too much, it blends into my skin nicely. I take an appropriate amount, warm it up in my hands first then pat it onto my face.
If I apply this straight from the pot, it can pill with the rest of my skin care. This could be because the consistency is thicker or because it doesn’t work well with other products in my skin care routine. Ultimately, a little really goes a long way with this moisturiser.
My skin feels so moisturised and refreshed as if I’ve had an intensive spa treatment. I’m thrilled at how much firmer my skin is and how quickly dullness disappears within minutes of applying this. I do my best to look after my skin but it can still flare up or look dull from time to time.
I’m not sure why the packaging mentions reducing dark circles under the eyes. Personally, I don’t apply moisturiser under my eyes as I prefer a light eye cream specifically targeted for the eye area.
I would definitely use this again because I like how moisturised my skin is. However, I would stick to using it during colder weather, when I need to combat the dry effects of winter on my skin.
