I’ve always thought an oil cleanser would be the worst thing someone with oily/combination/sensitive skin could put on their face. Wrong. This Deep Cleansing Oil from Japanese brand DHC is so good, one is sold every 10 seconds worldwide. Impressive, right?
I’m utterly devoted to this wonderful cleanser and make up remover. It protects my skin as it removes my make up using the core ingredient, olive oil. In case you didn’t know, olive oil is high in antioxidants, it doesn’t clog your pores and is perfect for sensitive skin. I’m sold.
It’s best to apply this to a dry face using dry hands. My skin feels instantly nourished once I’ve massaged it in.
I usually dread taking mascara off, particularly if it’s a stubborn waterproof formula. Not with this. It dissolves make up with ease (ok, so I might end up looking a little like Alice Cooper in the process!). I remove any residue with a water based cleanser.
You can add water to your face while using this but I find it’s more effective without water. Although I’ve read many reviews saying this made their skin red, as someone who has mild rosacea, this hasn’t been the case for me.
The only downside to using this cleansing oil is that I go through so much. I’ll have to stock up soon as I can’t bear to be without it!
