Calling all beauty junkies! Beauty Corner at Fenwick Newcastle is definitely your new BFF. There’s everything to treat yourself to, from tempting high-end products, organic beauty brands and A-list worthy treatments and supplements. Grab your purses and run…
Transforming the ground floor beauty department into a magnificent playground for all beauty addicts, Fenwick’s new revamp puts Newcastle firmly on the beauty map. Who says Manchester and London have to have all the fun?
I was honoured to be invited to their Beauty Corner Launch Event. Treats included champagne cocktails (technically a superfood cocktail with the nutritional booster from The Beauty Chef range) and macarons. Guests also received an amazing goodie bag filled with fab beauty products (more on that later).
Antipodes, Pixi and Ren were on hand to offer skin care advice. Heather from Ren offered a de-stressing hand and arm massage and Terence from Pixi offered guests a 20 minute beauty room treatment. I opted out of the latter. I’m not keen being outside without a little make up on and I’m sure the yummy cocktail would have set my rosacea off…
I love nothing more than trying new beauty products and I’m delighted with the treats provided by the Fenwick Newcastle team. It includes a fantastic selection from the Beauty Corner brands.
Let’s look at the amazing curation Beauty Corner has.
Brands I spoke to…
There are lots of delightful Antipodes beauty offerings at Beauty Corner. The Manuka Honey Skin-Brightening Eye Cream sounds incredible with ingredients like New Zealand Manuka Honey, Persian silk flower and Vinanza grape seed to boost the eye area. Lord knows I need help in that department. I’m blaming late night Instagram browsing.
Antipodes also gave guests a full-sized product! I chose the Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser (worth £24.99). The anti-inflammatory formula is ideal for sensitive skin. I’ll let you know how I get on with it!
It was delightful talking to Terence about the wonderful new Pixi lines. Just so you know, the Rose Caviar Essence and Rose Flash Balm look and smell divine. He showed me the beauty treatment room, where beauty junkies can relax away from the busy shop floor.
Sometimes you meet people you instantly click with. Enter Heather from Ren. Not only did she give me lots of helpful tips to de-stress but we chatted at great length about being safe in the sun.
I felt awful because the event was supposed to finish at 7pm but as I’d spent a lot of time chatting to Terence, I didn’t reach the Ren counter until 6.50pm. I was the only guest left. Oops.
Fortunately, Heather was kind enough to start my de-stressing hand and arm massage even though I was late. She used two new products from the Atlantic Kelp and Magnesium Salt range, the Anti-Fatigue Exfoliating Body Scrub Atlantic Kelp and Magnesium Anti-Fatigue Body Cream. I felt so relaxed and any stresses melted away. Both products have the most uplifting scents too.
Heather explained that many things in our lives cause stress, whether it’s the daily commute, job hunting or worrying about an upcoming assignment.
She said, ‘We don’t realise what stress does to our bodies and it’s wrong that we just accept it.’ She demonstrated the importance of taking care of our bodies and unwinding, particularly at the end of a busy week.
I didn’t intend on buying anything but I was so impressed with the Ren lines Heather used, I had to buy them. Of course.
I’m thrilled Fenwick Newcastle has so much to offer for beauty fans. I’d love to know if you’ve visited their Beauty Corner and what you think of it!
