As well as tucking into Easter eggs and scoffing a Lindt bunny or two (hey, I won’t tell if you don’t!) I’m all about a spot of pampering for the Easter weekend. Here’s my Easter beauty trio…
Green Tea Eye Mask, Sephora Collection at Sephora, £3.54
I’m a HUGE fan of sheet masks and this eye mask pretty much works in the same way. Due to weather changes, if I’m on my laptop for too long (oops) or if I stay up too late (double oops) the skin under my eyes can get very dry and often feel irritated. Not any more.
It’s made with natural fibre so it doesn’t feel harsh on my skin. I was pleasantly surprised by how much of the mask essence is inside one packet because once I’ve used the mask I can apply the extra essence afterwards. You know I hate seeing beauty products going to waste…
Infused with green tea extracts, which has antioxidant properties and natural rice and aloe vera leaf extracts to moisturise, this mask immediately offers a cooling and smoothing effect. It’s super easy to use too, all I have to do is remove the protective film and place the patches under my eyes for 15 minutes. I’ll definitely be buying this again!
Nail Care Oil for Cuticles, Alverde at dm-drogerie markt, £3.92
As you’ll probably know from my Nails Inc post, I’ve recently upped my nail care regime. My cuticles are often dry and unruly (sigh) so I’m very interested in trying various nail oils to keep them in shape.
This one has a beautiful apricot scent and is free from dyes, preservatives, parabens and synthetic perfume, which is perfect for natural beauty lovers. Ingredients include apricot kernel oil and sea buckthorn extract to nourish cuticles and the nail surface. Once I’ve applied this, I massage it in then leave it to work its magic!
Eos Lemon Drop Lip Balm with SPF 15, Selfridges, £6.50
A wonderful friend sent me this (she knows my interest in Eos lip balms borders on an obsession!) but UK readers will be pleased to know you can buy them in Selfridges and Topshop. You can also buy them online from other beauty sites.
I always love using Eos lip balms and my beauty junkie heart skipped a beat when I spotted that this one has SPF 15. I’m kind of like Monica Geller in terms of applying sun cream so I’m pleased this will protect my lips when I’m in the sun. This lip balm has broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and is water resistant for 80 minutes.
It’s also made with vitamin E and soothing shea butter as well as jojoba oil to make my lips super smooth. It’s 100% natural and paraben free, which is great because I’m very interested in usual natural beauty products without parabens.
