Wimbledon started this week and seeing as it’s a British Grand Slam I thought I’d celebrate with a British themed beauty haul. I’m a big fan of Novak Djokovic so I’ll be rooting for him to win!
03 Face Oil, Dr Jackson’s Natural Products, £30 for 25ml
I’m obsessed with face oils. They’re a perfect way of moisturising your skin. I like using beauty products with natural beauty products and I’m thrilled this nourishing face oil is made with 100% natural ingredients.
Its aim is to reverse the effects of damage, whether that’s from scarring, redness or bruising and promote a youthful appearance. I have mild rosacea so I’m very much looking forward to using this. What makes it more exciting is that it can be used across the whole face as well as troublesome areas.
Ingredients include oleic acid, linoleic acid and baobab oil to improve skin tone, marula oil for an intense moisture boost and arnica to help repair any skin damage. It also includes calendula which is a wonderful anti-inflammatory ingredient (I’ve previously written about my love for Weleda’s Calendula Face Cream, which you can read here) which aims to tackle redness. Sounds wonderful!
Elasticizer, Philip Kingsley, £9.50 for 40ml
You might find it surprising but I’m quite low-maintenance when it comes to my hair. Other than shampoo and conditioner and a heat-protection cream, I don’t really use anything else (apart from Nuxe’s Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil Spray).
Elasticizer is the kind of product you read about but never get round to buying it. Until you read about it again and you’re powerless to resist a little online splurge. It’s easily done though, isn’t it?
This pre-shampoo conditioning treatment works by adding moisture to the hair’s cuticle, thus making hair bouncy and beautiful. Results can be expected after just one application. Perfect.
If hair is really dry or damaged, this can be used on slightly damp hair and left on overnight. I’m definitely going to try this before the weather gets colder here in the UK!
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, £9.75 for 50ml
Once I find a product I love, I’m very faithful and stick with it. Then cult beauty products come along and I’m ever so tempted. This cleanser has won so many awards that it would be almost silly of me not to try it.
It works in two ways. The first step is to cleanse as normal and the second step is to polish off the cream using the muslin cloth (it comes with the cleanser). It sounds amazing, doesn’t it?
With ingredients including beeswax to help soothe chapped skin, moisturising cocoa butter, vegetable derived glycerine to boost hydration levels in the skin and chamomile extract to calm skin, it’s not hard to see why this is so well-loved by beauty junkies everywhere.
