Three step sheet masks are ideal if you want to save time in your skin care routine, particularly if you’re on the go. Containing a cleansing foam, a sheet mask and a face cream, Elizavecca’s Aqua White Water Illuminate Mask brightens your complexion and boosts flagging moisture levels.
I’m delighted that two of my favourite skin care ingredients appear in this sheet mask, green tea and snail secretion. Green tea soothes skin irritation and eliminates signs of rosacea like facial redness or blotchiness. It’s also useful for unclogging pores. It sounds gross but snail secretion is a beauty ingredient we should all be using. Not only does it hydrate parched skin but it also tackles blemishes.
Niacinamide and glutathione both improve skin brightness. In addition to brightening skin, these ingredients protect skin from visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. Niacinamide can also help reduce pore size with regular use.
Seaweed and ginkgo biloba both have anti-inflammatory properties, so they’re excellent at fighting rosacea and boosting tired skin. A combination of collagen and hyaluronic acid help increase moisture levels.
Thanks to its moisturising and brightening ingredients, this sheet mask is ideal for dry or dehydrated skin types as well as those with rosacea. I thoroughly enjoyed using this three step sheet mask. I make no secret of my love of cleansing foams and it was fun to use the cleansing foam in this sheet mask. It lathered well and felt smooth on my skin.
As soon as I removed the cleansing foam with warm water, I noticed how clear my skin was. It’s a shame this isn’t available as a full-size cleanser! Next, I applied the sheet mask, which had a lovely fit and a refreshing scent. After twenty minutes I was impressed at the reduced redness across my face and nose.
The third and final step of this sheet mask is the moisturiser. Easy to apply, it moisturised my skin but I think it was a little heavy for me. No matter how long I’d spent tapping the moisturiser into my skin, my face still felt sticky hours later, which was disappointing.
I didn’t follow up with any other products because I didn’t want them to pill on my face on top of the moisturiser. Ultimately, this may be better for dry or dehydrated skin types. However, I liked the lovely dewy glow from this moisturiser.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use this sheet mask again, particularly when my rosacea flares up around my nose but I’d probably use it in the evening when I don’t need to apply as many products.
I love spritzing a toner on my face before applying a sheet mask. Find out more about which natural toner I like to use and check out my review of the Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner!
