Worth the Weight vintage clothing in Newcastle
With a ridiculously low entrance fee of £1.50 after 12pm, the recent Newcastle Vintage Worth the Weight vintage clothing sale was a treat for anyone with an eye for vintage fashion. Granted, I expected to find myself surrounded by Edie Sedgwick style dresses and Cher Horowitz style checked skirts (which sadly didn’t happen) but I still managed to find a few fashion treats.
There were endless rails of flannel shirts for Kurt Cobain fans, oversized leather jackets, suede coats, shirts from the 70s, bold patterned dresses, leather handbags, bright coloured sunglasses as well as fitted skirts.
What’s in my vintage clothing haul from Newcastle?
My eyes were drawn to a beautiful navy leather skirt, two Egyptian dresses and a pink denim sleeveless jacket. I was immediately reminded of my trip to Japan with the sheer red blouse and lilac cover up. I guess there’ll always be an element of Harajuku style in my wardrobe!
