Today marks the start of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro (at midnight if you’re in the UK due to the pesky time difference) and I can’t wait. Will you be watching? To celebrate, I’ll be wearing these Gazelle II Rio Edition trainers by Adidas.

Although I picked them up years ago at a vintage shop, they were new when I bought them and are in fantastic condition. I’m ashamed to say that until now, they’ve been at the back of my wardrobe. I couldn’t think of a better time to wear them.

Featuring the distinctive colours of the Brazilian flag and artwork of the Christ the Redeemer statue on the tongue, these are definitely eye-catching. They also have ‘I heart Rio’ printed on the sides.

All that’s left for me to say is that I hope Novak Djokovic wins a gold medal!
