I want to steal the wardrobes of Noel Fielding and the entire cast of Goblin. There, I’ve said it. This week’s Look of the Week celebrates the eccentric mixture of The Mighty Boosh comedian and the popular K-drama, Goblin.
If you’re unfamiliar with Goblin, I urge you to watch it. It’s fantastic. If you’re unfamiliar with Noel Fielding, I’m sorry but we can’t be friends.
In case it escaped your notice, I’m a big fan of Noel Fielding. He’s hilarious and has a wardrobe to die for. Seriously. I bought this Noel Fielding t-shirt during his 2015 An Evening with Noel Fielding tour. I love it.
I’m well aware that tailored coats existed pre-Goblin but I affectionately call them that because the main stars Gong Yoo and Lee Dong-Wook (both swoony-worthy, seriously Google them!) wear so many on the show. This burgundy Zara coat is beautiful. Believe me, I’m no stranger to Goblin coats but I couldn’t resist buying this.
When the weather gets colder, I’ll layer a hoodie underneath this coat. It’s perfect to wear with everything from dresses to trousers.
This navy skirt from Zara is perfect for autumn. It adds a classic touch to my look. I love the bold buttons.
For accessories, I’ve gone for bold rings. The skull one is similar to something Keith Richards has and was designed by The Mighty Boosh (are you sensing a theme here?). I’ve also added my trusty mini Karl Lagerfeld bag.
I bought these boots years ago but they’re so comfortable. They’re a dream to wear.
How about you? Who is your style inspired by? I’d love to know!
My look:
Earrings, Orsay; T-shirt, Noel Fielding, Coat, Zara, Brazilets. Brazilets; Skull ring, The Mighty Boosh; Other ring, from an independent jeweller in Lisbon, Portugal; Skirt, Zara; Boots, vintage; Bag, Karl Lagerfeld
