It’s almost winter and all of a sudden I’ve gone grunge with red plaid. Current style inspiration: a touch of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain.
This week’s Look of the Week was shot in Bled, a splendid lakeside town in Slovenia.
I snapped this plaid shirt up recently from Berhska. I love how versatile it is: it can be worn with jeans, trousers, shorts and a skirt. If that isn’t value for money, I don’t know what is! I love the frayed detailing.
I love a pair of fitted jeans (I have an aversion to flared jeans) and black never goes out of style does it? Denim jeans ought to be comfortable and fortunately these ones are just that.
My footwear is from FitFlop, a brand I’ve admired for many years. Their designs are super soft and comfortable. Usually you have to sacrifice style over comfort with certain footwear but not with these beauties.
FitFlop shoes have soft cushioning in them which makes them an absolute dream to wear. Regardless of how long I’m on my feet (and believe me I did a lot of walking around Bled in these) I don’t suffer one little bit in these shoes. They’re like slippers!
Patent handbags are a delight to travel with. They don’t scratch or mark like an untreated leather bag. I love my Kate Spade across the body number.
A delicate black lace headband completes my look a la a/w Louis Vuitton circa 2009. I love wearing pearls and this necklace is so beautiful. It adds a touch of glamour to my grunge inspired look.
My look:
Jeans, J Brand; Bag, Kate Spade; Headband, Topshop; Shirt, Bershka; Earrings, Tally Weijl; Top, Uniqlo; Sunglasses, Ray-Ban; Pearl necklace, Nama, Ljubljana, Slovenia; Shoes, FitFlop; Watch, Jacques Lemans
