Summer is the perfect time to have fun with our fashion choices, isn’t it? We forget about the upcoming doom of autumnal weather and enjoy the warm summer evenings. This week’s LOTW is colourful and dramatic.
This bold dress from H&M is very Kate Bush (love her) and the ruched detailing across the arms the bust is super flattering.
I usually avoid anything flared as I feel extremely out of my comfort zone in anything that swamps my petite size. Put me in hippy flares and I might actually pass out. However, I can handle flared sleeves. Particularly on a dress this cute.
It would be wrong for me to go on holiday without a floral garland headband (yes, I know, this is another popular hippy trend but fortunately one I suit). Let’s face it, the world would be a better place if we could wear floral garlands all the time, wouldn’t it? This blue beauty is never far from my side. I love wearing it.
Split is known for its traditional Filigree jewellery. My beautiful necklace is from Zlatar Filigran, the oldest Filgree jeweller in Split. Everything there is lovingly handmade by the Čivljak family. I might have to buy a few more pieces from them…
I don’t go anywhere without a pair of sunglasses, especially when I’m in Croatia (the sun is so strong in Split!) and these Ray-Ban sunglasses do a fabulous job of protecting my eyes from the sun’s harsh rays.
My shoes complement the dress perfectly. They’re extremely comfortable to wear too. For other accessories, I’ve gone for eye-catching rings and a blue Longchamp bag (roomy enough to store beauty purchases… great!)
