For this week’s Look of the Week, I’m inspired by my love of eccentric fashion by wearing a few pieces from the H&M x Moschino collection. You may know I’m a big fan of Harajuku fashion and this outfit is definitely a nod to the creative Japanese fashion trend.
I’m pretty much cold all the time, which is why I was so happy to snap up this beautiful pink faux fur coat with gold chain detailing from H&M’s latest designer collaboration. It’s so soft and is the ultimate coat for winter. Perfect for throwing over a dress, skirt or trousers, it’s just what I need when the temperature drops. How gorgeous is the bright pink colour?
The perfect Disney t-shirt for adults
Not content with buying one item of clothing from the collection, I also bought the stylish black t-shirt emblazoned with a cute print of Donald and Daisy Duck. You’re never too old for a bit of Disney are you?
The modern boxy fit means this is ideal to layer over jeans or a textured skirt, like this one which is also from H&M (but not from the collection). I actually bought this feather skirt last year and I’ve worn it so much! It totally reminds me of Black Swan. Let’s face it, ballet chic never goes out of style.
Large oversized backpacks are coming back and this oversized quilted backpack from the H&M Moschino range is a work of pure genius. Thank you Jeremy Scott. It’s absolutely huge and I love it! It’s luxuriously soft and reminds me of the Chanel nylon quilted backpack. Spacious enough for pretty much everything I need, it’s the perfect backpack to make a statement.
Quirky shoes from Europe
You may know that it’s virtually impossible for me to go on holiday without picking up a few fashion souvenirs. Whether I’m in Japan or Croatia, I always like buying unique shoes to add to my collection.
I bought these gravity-defying Trippen boots from a boutique in Split, Croatia. It was love at first sight when I saw these chunky platform boots in the window and prayed they had my size. Hallelujah! The buttery soft leather makes these fit like a glove and they’re easy to walk in. Even though the heel is less than conventional.
To finish off my look, I’ve added the most adorable phone case I’ve ever seen. A fluffy teddy bear phone case. Of course. It was actually one of the first items to sell out from the H&M x Moschino lookbook. When I told a friend I’d bought it, he laughed and said it wasn’t a very practical phone case! But when it looks this cute I don’t care!
My H&M x Moschino collection look:
Coat, Backpack, T-shirt and Teddy Bear Phone Case, all from the H&M x Moschino collection; Skirt, H&M; Boots, Trippen
