As any shoe addict will tell you, once you find a pair of great shoes, you end up falling hopelessly in love with them. These tassel superskate™ leather loafers from FitFlop are my new fashion obsession.
A lightweight and stylish pair shoes have been on my radar for a while. I’m off to Japan in November (my level of excitement for this trip is UNREAL… I mean what’s not to love about a country with a wonderful culture and beautiful locations?). Oh, I think they’re kind of known for their innovative beauty products too. As a total sheet mask junkie, I think I might collapse at the sight of so many amazing goodies!
I know what you’re thinking. Buying shoes in March for a trip in November sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it? Bear with me. I’ve been known in the past to lust after items of clothing (be that a pretty dress or a ridiculously cute handbag) only for them to sell out because I either can’t make my mind up about them or I tell myself I’ll buy them later and never do.
Not this time. As much as I love impractical footwear (my ideal shoes are a pair of Alexander McQueen’s s/s 2010 armadillo shoes… I would quite happily sell my soul for the crystal pair!), it would be foolish of me to go sightseeing in anything uncomfortable. Hence why I bought these FitFlop loafters.
I’m already a loyal fan of the brand. I bought a pair of their leather boots years ago and to date, they’re my favourite boots for autumn and winter. These loafers felt like slippers as soon as I tried them on. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a pair of shoes faster than this.
The main aim of FitFlop is to create stylish, supportive footwear. The supercomff™ midsole technology in these loafers means these won’t hurt my feet, even if I’ve been walking in them all day (and I intend to!). They’re designed to protect feet and ease areas of high pressure.
The rubber outsole is slip-resistant and hard-wearing… great for me because not only am I very clumsy but I’m also heavy on my feet. They’re approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association too!
