Going on a semi-submarine sounds amazing doesn’t it? I was very excited to see the marine life around Split, Croatia and booked tickets on the semi-submarine.
Departing from the Riva promenade, in the centre of Split harbour, the tour lasts 45 minutes (it departs every hour). The start of the journey is the perfect way to admire the city of Split and the magnificent Diocletian Palace.
The Marijeta stays above sea level throughout the trip and the underwater observatory (which includes viewing windows) is five feet below the water. Although it was a fun experience, it’s a shame I didn’t get to see much underwater though, apart from a few small fish!
Tickets cost £10 per person.
